Shelties Available for Adoption

"Coming into Rescue" ~~ More dogs are always coming into rescue. Sometimes they are never posted if we have a suitable approved adoption application on file. If you don't see something that fits your needs right now, please submit an adoption application so we can keep it on file. For information on our adoption process, please read: Adoption Procedures.

Why do we require a fence on most of our Shelties? ~~ A Sheltie needs and deserves the space to stretch his/her legs and be able to exercise, run, play, and explore in a safe environment.

Adoption Donation of $250 for adults and $350 for a puppy under 16 weeks.

All dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption.

Owner Referral Program

Owner Referrals -- These dogs are currently in homes with owners who can no longer keep them. If you are interested in meeting one of these dogs, please let us know, and we will put you in contact directly with the owner. SCSR does not warrant or guarantee the health or temperament of any Sheltie obtained through the Owner Referral Program. Please be sure to ask a lot of questions and ensure that the dog is the right match for your family. It is generally better to visit the dog in their existing home, and then to have the owner deliver the dog to your home upon adoption. This reduces the stress of the dog traveling in a strange car, with strange people, to a strange environment. You will want to put an ID tag on the dog immediately, and ensure that you use a martingale or choke collar (so dog can't escape collar) whenever walking the dog.

If you are interested in more information on how to have your Sheltie listed with our Owner Referral Program, please contact Theresa.
